Tulad sa Chinese drama universe duman kita manglugayawan and by Cdramaverse, I only mean dramas from Mainland China and Taiwan. Pasencya lang anay hay waay pa ako naka branch out sa mga HK kag Singaporean drama series, gani waay pa ako may matugda kananda.

Yang Mi & Mark Chao (TMOPB)

Indi ako sigurado kun may “love team” culture man ang Chinese showbiz industry pareho ka supog sa Pinas kag Thailand. Ang naman-an ko lang nga kun effective ang tandem ka mga actors, mas hanggud ang tsansa nga maka imaw sanda sa raku nga projects (unlike sa Kdramaverse).. Parehos abi sa fan favorite Xu Kai-Bai Lu pairing nga naka 4 dramas (Arsenal Military Academy, The Legends, Untouchable Lovers & Zhao Ge), which sadly waay ko pa nalantawan bisan isa.

Chemistry... Amo man lang dya napangayo ta sa aton mga OTP and I think these couples nailed them. Indi man gid obvious nga kalabanan ka akon ships halin sa wuxia/xianxia world. Three Lives Three Worlds will always be my standard and my bias when it comes to OTP. Sanda gid bi mo... amo dan nabudlayan ako gawa mag ship ka iban nga fictional couples sa Chinese dramaland hay nagabalik-balik lang ako kananda na apat. Aahh, the timeless tale of love and sacrifice that spans 3 lives and 3 worlds 😍🥰😍

Yehua (Mark Chao) & Dong Hua (Vengo Gao) are powerful celestials who have the task to keep all the realms safe. Both of them have a cold and rational personality (mga sulod-dukot lang gid sanda actually) with little show of emotions. But when they fall.. they love truly, madly, deeply and would willingly sacrifice their immortal lives for the women they love. On the other hand, Bai Qian (Yang Mi) & Feng Jiu (Dilraba Dilmurat) are willful and stubborn princesses of Qingqiu who can also love with a love that is more than love... sampat gid sanda.

Basically, Eternal Love or Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms is pure serious romance. Amo gid dya ang natumod ni Padre sa ana homily anay nga basta kuno nagahigugma "masaramihay kaw gid".

The romance in Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms has a more serious tone overall compared to Eternal Love of Dream or The Pillow Book which has a lighter feel. This is because (mas flirt si Dijun!) the relationship dynamics of both couples are different. Ye Hua and Bai Qian’s love is solemn and deeply felt. Dong Hua and Feng Jiu’s romance is sweet and loving... and mas flirt si Dijun 😏😉😊

The love story of Bai Feng Jiu and Dong Hua Dijun is also partly told in the TMOPB, doomed romance lang sanda tuya. Mayad hay sa ELOD gintaw-an sanda kang well-deserved happy-ever-after ending. So far, si Dong Hua ang pinaka bigatlon nga iced-faced immortal nga nasalapu-an ko in all the realms of xianxia universe... Amo gid dya ang hambal nanda nga "Love is most dangerous when it comes late in life."

Waay tuod ibato ang three lives, three worlds sa 10 lifetimes of tribulation ni Sifeng & Xuanji. Based on the novel Liu Li Mei Ren Sha by Shi Si Lang, ang xianxia nga dya is a bloody angst extravaganza but nakabawi man sanda sa ending.

They had me at "tumor". 😉😉

This costume drama is based on the novel Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost by Dian Xian and tells about a forbidden (ash-like) love between a flower deity and a fire deity. It took me a while para magdawat ang ginhawa sa "hinangag"/innocence ni Jinmi sa umpisa ka series, but after episode 10, she kinda grew on me, like fungus... Ang anda romance may start off as fluffy but there's nothing naïve or innocent with that "flower and bird scene.." Literally, nag buskag ang bulak pag butyog ka "bird".. How graphic could you get? Go figure kun ano bata da sa urihi 🤣

(The Eternal Love I & II)

I enjoyed their banter more than the plot and the main reason nga napatapos ko ang series (pati ang Season 2) is because of the chemistry ka OTP. Ang drama is adapted from the novel Hilarious Pampered Consort: Lord I Will Wait for Your Divorce written by Fan Que, which is a story about time-travel and 2 spirits occupying 1 body. 👻

Obvious man nga bukon dya hanggud nga production but it was a big hit sa audience gani nakatigayon pa sanda ka Season 2 (nga mas nanami-an ako sangsa Season 1). Angayan gid man ang leads amo dan nga sanda liwat ang OTP sa You're My Destiny (Chinese remake kang Fated to Love You).

Adorbs.🥰This cute couple is simply adorable and sweet without being annoying. This is one of those rare dramas in which the characters actually communicate (like sensible people!), which leads to plot points being resolved quickly. Bukon dya angst-fueled romance gani waay te duro nga kumod ang laon.. (well, except for the crossdressing part). Ang nanami-an ko pa gid sa drama is that it doesn’t shy away from skinship and kisses, and sexy collarbones... bunos pa gid nga ang ML looks like a love-child of Lan Wangji (The Untamed) and Moyuan's Senior Disciple Die Feng (TMOPB).

Modern/Contemporary Kilig OTP

Malaka lang gid ako makalantaw ka mga modern/contemporary Chinese drama series but these are some stand-out OTPs for me.

Basically, this is an office romcom so man-an ta run ang dalagan ka estorya, but what I like about the drama is that the OTP are already lovers midway through, so we get to witness a lot of sweet moments as they live together. Ang anda compatibility is obvious and the "sweet" story simply takes the sparks up a notch. Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun do share a very trusting and supportive relationship which is satisfying to watch. Ang allergy ni Jiang Jun to her own tears is a bit ridiculous for me but hey, drama logic.

Here's another Taiwanese drama nga raku remakes, hay waay pa natak-an ang bug-os nga dramaverse sa two best friends falling in love trope. True, we enjoy watching their journey from friends to lovers, especially and struggle ni Da Ren to get out of the friendzone. Kag sa drama nga dya, I like how the OTP started as flawed characters and gradually developed into the better versions of themselves to deserve to be together in the end. Da Ren is a precious cinnamon bun.

Para dya sa mga shippers ni Shan Cai kag Lei nga waay natigayon ang ship sa Meteor Garden. Amo dya ang drama nga drama gid, so this is not a light watch but rest assured nga feel good man angud as the OTP finds love and happiness in the end. This drama is based on a manga (nga waay ko nabasa) and tells about the struggles and growth of two young people trying to face their pasts, their fears, and finding solace in one another. Both Chen Ling and Qi Lou come from a place of great trauma and carry dark shadows within them, and it is a comfort watching them find peace and happiness amidst their pain. I-ready ang tissues ukon panyo samtang galantaw.

Treat your Inner Fujoshi

I admit, bukon takon hardcore fujoshi despite my unhealthy attachment to drag and gender benders.. but once in a while I do enjoy some subtle BL in my dramas. Amo lang dya masarangan ko bi, basi pa lang sa darayon magdawat man ang kalag ko sa mga yaoi 🤔🤭

WangXian is my ship of guilty pleasure. Ang manami sa dya nga ship hay the more you re-watch, the more the kilig. Subtle lang ang BL factor sa drama, unless you read the novel (which I did 😏) you probably won’t even get the love message behind some of their conversations and scenes. Paminsaron mo lang nga "brotherhood" ah. Thanks to the strict Chinese censorship laws, the creators of The Untamed had to get creative with the depiction of the relationship between Lan Wangji & Wei Wuxian so all we get are stares of longing (aka "eye fucking") and flirting/teasing. And that is more than enough to propel fandoms and fan art & fanfiction to break the internet. Sayuron, nagaraku lang gid ang fujoshi among us.

Kilig Ginagmay Recommendation

So, if you're into light romcoms sans convoluted plots (hay makapoy man maghibi-hibi kapin pa kun naga peri-menopausal ikaw) nga may palpable chemistry ang main leads, you may check out these cdramas of 2020 for an entertaining watch.
