ICYMI: All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness

In case you missed it, the All Souls Trilogy is a historical-fantasy written by American scholar Deborah Harkness, who herself is "descended from a witch — or at least a woman hanged in Salem for allegedly practicing witchcraft" (Haldeman, P. "All Souls Trilogy: Harry Potter for Grown-Ups?", 2019). The three-book series follows the story of Diana Bishop, a historian and reluctant witch, as she solves the mystery of Ashmole 782, falls in love with a mysterious vampire named Matthew Clairmont, and learns how powerful it can be to accept who you are.

Ang British fantasy television series, named after the first book in the trilogy, is produced by Bad Wolf and Sky Studios, and stars Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop and Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont. Nadumduman ko si Palmer sa movies nga Warm Bodies (2013) kag I am Number Four (2011). Waay ako idea kay Goode other than this series but I've read nga cast tana sa Downton Abbey.
Ang initial impression ko sa series pareho man sa impression kang kalabanan nga Harry Potter meets Twilight vibes... but for the middle-aged. Kalabanan nga setting sa library tanda (especially sa 1st few chapters/episodes) gani daw pang bookworm gid, an academic bookworm nga mahilig sa tea, alchemy and the occult. May pagka kuri lang bi sa umpisa ang dalagan ka estorya gani gindungan ko ang basa kag lantaw, which I would recommend nga hirikuton para sa mga wasaag ang focus kag kinahanglan maglumpat-lumpat sa barasahon kag ralantawon para lang immersive ang experience.
