Reading Goals for 2021

Bukon man gid ako ambisyosa tulad nga tuig... nahuya lang ako mag-ako nga waay ko dya sanda mabasahan bisan self-confessed ako nga "literary" omnivore. Lawig pa man ang tuig ah.. kabay mapisanan ako magtapos kun indi ako paturugon ka akon bulong.

Harry Potter books

Katong raku ang daw maano ka dya anay, katingalahan nga waay ako naganyat magbasa. Magic, witches and wizards, what's not to love? Too popular lang gid guro ang series para ka nakon amo ran nga tulad dlang ako ma catch-up. Actually nabasahan ko dun ang first four books of the series, salamat sa abyan ko nga Potter Head. Indi na run kuno ma-trace kun sin-o nakahuram ka book 5, gani waay ako nakapadayon. But now, hay naka download ako ka complete e-book collection, waay rason nga indi ko dya mabasa tanan.

The Witcher series

Nalantawan ko dya sa Netflix ang series bag-o ko pa naman-an nga may books gali. So like any normal obsessive bookworm, nangalkal ako sa internet ka e-pub copies.

The Witcher is a series of fantasy novels and short stories written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The series revolves around the titular "witcher", Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill in the Netflix series. Witchers are beast hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle wild beasts and monsters.

Ang nanami-an ko sa witcher world is that the monsters are based on European myths and folklores... oh and Henry Cavill with long white hair is drool-worthy.

Dexter books by Jeff Lindsay

Buhay ko run dya na download nga ebooks, interesado ako hay nalantawan ko ang tv series. I was so into "serial killers" that time and Dexter Morgan is a sort of "serial killer of serial killers." Dexter, the creation of crime novelist Jeff Lindsay, is a forensic blood spatter analyst by day and a serial killer by night. Convinced the legal system failed to stop murderers, rapists and other criminals, Dexter takes justice in his own hands and took care of them.

Circe by Madeline Miller

I'm a sucker for retellings of myths and fairytales. Na curious ako ka dya hay limitado lang ang naman-an ko kay Circe. In the story of Odysseus, Circe is that witch who can turn men into pigs.

The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

Na intriga man ako ka dya hay duro nabasahan ko nga must-read dya kuno. May tv series man based on the book streamed by Hulu in 2017 but waay ko pa nalantawan.

The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian novel by Canadian author Margaret Atwood, published in 1985. It is set in a near-future New England, in a strongly patriarchal, totalitarian state, known as Gilead, that has overthrown the United States government.
