Amo dya si Jerry Yan (January 1, 1977). Birth name: Liao Yang Zhen, also known as Yan Cheng Xu, pay para sa ana mga Pinay fangirls & other international fans, he will always be the Dao Ming Si of F4. The OG boy group that swept Asia in the early 2000s.

Bag-o pa magsiyagitan ang mga fangirls ka "Oppa! Oppa!"... raku dun nakasinggit kato anay ka "Dao Ming Si!" sa mga atup or roofdecks or any other high places. Waay dun it iban nga Asian drama that has conquered the continent the way Meteor Garden did that time. What a time to be a fangirl... hay ang dason nga mga tuig, puraot dun para ka naton. One fangirl even wrote in her post, "It's very frustrating to be his fan because he makes dramas, films, or any other projects once in a blue moon." In a world where celebrities often succumb to pressure, Jerry Yan shared that he has always been reluctant to build an online social media presence and that he is not the type to be on his phone often. Hmn... sounds familiar...
Jerry became a model in 2000, after winning the 1998 TVBS Modelling Competition and Men's UNO modelling competition. He began filming advertisements and starring in music videos. In 2000, He began his acting career. His first role is a supporting role in "Spicy Teacher". With his role as "Dao Ming Si" in the highly popular Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden and its sequel Meteor Garden II, Jerry shot to fame and became popular across Asia. At the conclusion of the series, Jerry along with the other cast members Vic Chou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to perform together and released three studio albums as the quartet boy band F4.
Pay ano run natabo kay Jerry Yan and his dimples since then? Insat pirang nahut lang ana mga drama kag movies? Isa sa mga rason siguro is that he is considered as one of Taiwan's elusive actor because he is known to reject or drop out of the project. Despite his elusiveness, he was named as Taiwan’s highest-paid actor for 5 consecutive years and still continues to be part of the highest-paid list. Kato anay may "away" kuno sanda ni co-star Barbie Hsu (Shan Cai) after the filming of Meteor Garden, but eventually settled their issues when he appeared as a guest in a talk show hosted by Barbie and maintained their friendship. Kag si Wang Xiaofei, Barbie Hsu's husband, posted this tidbit about Jerry sa ana blog:

"Even if he usually played the strong and dominant character in his dramas, this guy is very emotional in real life. He would cry in interviews, concerts, etc. whenever he was asked about his family, ex-girlfriend (Lin Chi-Ling), etc. He was even teary-eyed when his F4 band mates got reunited in Beijing to perform for a local channel’s Chinese New Year event special."

"My mum has been nagging at me, but she hasn't match-made me before. My friends have had thoughts of match-making me though... When I was part of F4, we couldn't do a lot of things as we needed to protect our image, so now that Vic Zhou has even got a child, I would really like a relationship... I love kids, and I really want one especially after seeing Vic's daughter - she's so cute; I just want to squeeze her cheeks."
Amo lang dya mahambal ko para kanimo, Jerry Yan... VIVA LAON!!
