Chronicle of Life (2016)
NaLan Rongrou was a poet, famous for his ci poetry. He was born Nalan Chengde but had to change his name when the Kangxi Emperor named Yunreng his crown prince. Nalan was born with great talent in literature. Though his super normal background has paved the way for his political career, it also controlled his freedom. So in Nalan's mind, he is tired of his position, freedom is the pursuit of his life. Coming from a rich family, he does not value material comforts but would rather get close to nature.
Chronicle of Life is based on the Chinese novel Lonely Courtyard in Late Spring by Fei Wo Si Cun. This story is about the Kangxi Emperor and Consort Liang from the Wei clan. A beautiful melody, played by a young maiden, catches the attention of Na Lan Rong Ruo, as he recognizes performer to be his cousin, Wei Lin Lang. Seeing his loyal subject's affection, emperor Kang Xi orders Lin Lang to be found and betrothed to Rong Ruo. But prince Fu Quan, who was tasked to do it, notices the emperor also seems to have taken interest in her, and decides to pick another bride, while letting Lin Lang enter the palace and serve Kang Xi. Legend of the Dragon Pearl (2017)
Ye Mosheng is Yihuan's childhood friend who is secretly in love with her and becomes rash and impulsive in all things concerning her. His over attentiveness towards her causes issues between him and Zhu Cixuan.
Legend of the Dragon Pearl, also known as Legend of Longzhu, is the story of the ill-fated romance between Zhu Yi Huan, the last princess of the Ming Dynasty and Kangxi, the young emperor of the Qing Dynasty. After the Qing conquest of the Ming, Li Yihuan and the rest of the descendants of the Ming Dynasty retreats to Dragon Pearl Canyon. There, they train under the guidance of the elders, learning various skills, hoping to restore the glory of their country one day. Li Yihuan, the last princess of the Ming Dynasty, was tasked by her teacher to get close to the Kangxi Emperor to seek an opportunity for revenge. She meets the young emperor and after spending time together, they bicker and fall in love. However, their situation renders their love a difficult one as they are from opposing kingdoms. The Story of Yanxi Palace (2018)
Fuheng is the leader of the imperial guards and the younger brother of Empress Xiaoxianchun. He is a foil for the Emperor since he is a rather free man without the hamper of pomp and circumstance. In this way, he can be truer himself in love and life, and he maximizes the privilege by being upfront and forward in his feelings, without the hesitation and unease that clouds every step taken by his more powerful superior.
Story of Yanxi Palace is a 70-episode period drama series recounting the struggles of a palace maid in the court of the Qianlong Emperor. In the 18th century Beijing, during the 6th year of the Qianlong's reign, Wei Ying Luo enters the Forbidden City as an embroiderer to investigate the truth behind her older sister's rape and murder. Believing that Imperial Guard Fuca Fuheng to be the prime suspect, Ying Luo approaches his sister, Empress Fuca Rongyin, and is transferred to work as her maid. Realizing that the Fuca siblings are innocent of the crime, Ying Luo moves her attention to the other people in the palace in hopes of finding the perpetrator, all while protecting the Empress from the harem's conspiracies, as she rises through the ranks.
Story of Yanxi Palace has since become a huge hit and was the most Googled TV show in the world in 2018, despite Google being blocked in Mainland China. A spinoff and sequel to the series, the 6-episode Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures, aired on Netflix in 2019.
Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace (2018)
Hongli is the fourth son of the Yongzheng Emperor. His birth mother is a low-status servant named Li Jingui. After Third Prince Hongshi is disowned by the Emperor, Hongli rose to the rank of Prince Bao. When he became the Emperor, he takes the era name Qianlong.
Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace is based on novel Hou Gong Ru Yi Zhuan by Liu Lianzi. It is the story of Ruyi, a consort who quickly learns to navigate the treacherous politics of the royal court and move up the ranks. After becoming Empress, Ruyi still must survive the many conspiracies against her. Her relationship with Emperor Qianlong becomes eroded even when Ruyi is able to overcome the challenges.
The series is the sequel to the critically acclaimed drama Empresses in the Palace and despite receiving mixed reviews, it eventually won acclaim for its exquisite props, lavish sets, affecting storyline and stellar cast. Eighty-seven episodes man lang ang drama nga dya ah.
Dreaming Back to Qing Dynasty (2019)
Yinxiang, formally known as Prince Yi, was a Manchu prince of the Qing dynasty. The thirteenth son of the Kangxi Emperor, Yinxiang was a major ally of his brother Yinzhen during the latter's struggle for the succession of the throne.
Adapted from the novel of the same title by Jin Zi, the drama is the story of Xiao Wei, 21st-century architect who gets lost in the Forbidden City and finds herself suddenly transported through time. Now wandering her way through the Qing Dynasty, she finds herself crossing paths with some of the most influential and important figures of the ancient world, including the Emperor Kang Xi and his many sons. With her modern ways and ideas, Xiao Wei can't help but stand out, a fact that makes her all the more intriguing to those around her. Catching the eye of more than one of the Emperor's sons, including the 13th Prince Yin Xiang, the 4th Prince Yin Zhen and the 14th Prince, Yin Ti, Xiao Wei soon finds herself befriending some princes and falling for others. Caught between worlds, Xiao Wei is forced to make decisions that could alter the course of history forever.
Ang drama nga dya is produced by the same team as Scarlet Heart, and although raku sanda similarities like the time-travel kag the battle of the princes for the throne, it takes on a more light-hearted approach.
