inspired by Vampire Chronicles

I was really into Anne Rice kang high school ever since nabasahan ko ang Vampire Chronicles... kag napiritan ko pa akon miga maglantaw ka Interview with a Vampire (bisan bukon tana into horror, she's into Tom Cruise man) sa sinehan sa downtown Iloilo. Ang poem nga dya is inspired by one of her books.

My aunt collects jars

As many as lovers.

Big jars, crystal jars

The size of the head

In her attic

With various content

- seaweed hair

jelly eyes

rotting nose

gaping mouth

decaying cheeks

of a foolish one

once brimming

with life and love

now jarred.

My aunt loves heads

The part that stares

And collects jars

As many

As lovers.
