Tomorrow morning

when you awake

you won’t find me there

beside you

no note of goodbye

nor sorry

nor thanks

not even a hint of perfume

I wore that night

is left on the pillow

nor a lock of my hair

nor footprints left

on the carpeted floor.

I am nothing but a memory.

Open the window

and let the wind

carry the memory away.
